The research aims to assess the effectiveness of such apps in enhancing prayer punctuality and spiritual engagement. Using a quantitative explanatory method, data were gathered from 33 users of apps like Muslim Pro and Al-Quran Indonesia. Results show significant improvement in prayer timeliness (mean: 4.1/5) though the improvement in khusyu’ was more modest (mean: 3.0/5). Key obstacles include poor internet (35%), app errors (30%), and inconsistent alerts (25%). The findings suggest that while digital nudges improve external discipline, they are less effective in fostering inner devotion. This study’s novelty lies in its integration of behavioral nudging with Islamic educational values. It recommends features like offline access and reflective prompts to support both compliance and spiritual depth. These insights offer implications for Islamic app developers and educators aiming to enhance faith-tech experiences.
2025-07-07T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Walada Paradisa, Dhiana Ratu Nabhila, Naylazyani Siti Alhafidhza, Cucu Surahmanhttps://crjis.com/index.php/civilizationresearch/article/view/82Sharia Policy and Its Impact on Achieving Food Security2025-05-07T14:44:36+00:00Ibrahim Muhammad fandi Bani Ameri.baniamer@jadara.edu.jo
This research aims to demonstrate the validity of Islamic law for all times and places, and to demonstrate the importance of having a guardian who is concerned with managing the affairs of the country, and supervising them in various aspects, and the keenness of Islamic law to preserve human life.I relied in writing this research on the inductive and analytical approach: by inducting and analyzing the legal texts in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and explaining the legal approach to achieving food security. The researcher concluded that Islamic law is capable of addressing the food security crisis, through the management and organization of the guardian of the country’s affairs, and its approach to achieving food security, as work is sacred in Islam, and striving for a livelihood is worship, and the legitimacy of zakat and charity, and the prohibition of usury, monopoly, and everything that may harm society. The researcher recommended that the guardian should personally supervise the achievement of food security, due to its importance in the stability of society, and that there should be special funds to support this sector.
2024-07-07T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Ibrahim Muhammad Fandi Bani Amerhttps://crjis.com/index.php/civilizationresearch/article/view/89The Influence Of Arabic Literature And Jurisprudence In A Contemporary Period And Sustainable Development2025-05-16T16:25:38+00:00Issah Zubairu Acharaissahzubairu@gmail.com
This paper titled “The influence of Arabic literature and jurisprudence in a contemporary period” shall focus on Arabic literature and his influence, Arabic literature has been categorized into two categories, prose and poetry. On this basis, this paper aims to shed light on the issue of environmental protection in the light of the purified Prophet's Sunnah, and its justifications in this modern era. The researcher used the descriptive approach; This is done by following the scientific materials on the importance of the environmental protection and society on the Islamic perspective, especially with regard to the noble prophetic sayings, which are considered the second source of Islamic law. It examines how the Hamidian regime both adopted and reshaped international law—as a regulatory framework and as a strategic bargaining tool to preserve dynastic survival. Drawing on a historical-critical methodology that combines primary-source archives with Ottoman intellectual discourse, this research uncovers the dialectical interaction between the Islamic legal tradition of siyar and modern international-law constructs. Findings reveal a fundamental paradox: Ottoman integration of international norms both signified subordination to European diplomatic standards and served as an adaptive realpolitik strategy amid shifting global geopolitics. By reconstructing Ottoman international relations from a non-Western perspective, the study offers historiographical innovation and yields conceptual insights for contemporary Muslim-majority states formulating foreign policy in the face of enduring hegemonic pressures.
2025-07-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Anisa Fitrianihttps://crjis.com/index.php/civilizationresearch/article/view/109Methodological Analysis Of Tafsîr Fî Zhilâl Al-Qur'ân: Between Reflective Approach And Epistemological Criticism2025-07-05T22:34:49+00:00Acep Ariyadriaby.lubna88@gmail.comAnggriyani Anggriyanianggriyani@gmail.com
Fî Zhilâl Al-Qur'ân by Sayyid Qutb is one of the most influential works in the field of contemporary Qur'an interpretation, offering a unique and reflective approach to understanding the Qur'ân. Instead of focusing on technical linguistic analysis or classical historical narratives, this work emphasizes the internalization of the spirit and message of the Qur'an. Qutb's reflective method highlights resistance to tyranny and promotes the establishment of divine values in socio-political life. However, this work is not immune to epistemological criticism, especially regarding the lack of scientific references, ideological subjectivity, and oversimplification of complex meanings. This paper aims to analyze the interpretive methodology used in Fî Zhilâl al-Qur'an, identify its strengths and weaknesses, and place it in a broader landscape of modern Qur'anic interpretation. Using a qualitative approach and content analysis, the study found that although this work lacks academic rigor in some respects, it significantly contributes to resurrecting the Qur'an's role as a dynamic and revolutionary guide to life.
2025-07-12T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Acep Ariyadri, Anggriyanihttps://crjis.com/index.php/civilizationresearch/article/view/112Abu Darda’s Model Of Moral And Spiritual Education: A Qur’anic Perspective For Contemporary Pedagogy2025-07-15T23:06:18+00:00Iit Supriatinsupriatin2912@gmail.comRedi Rustandiaburrafi84@gmail.comRomady Alfanromadyalfanalbatawi@gmail.comYati Suciyatiyatisuciyatibdg26@gmail.comDandi Abdul Rohmandandiabdulrohman3@gmail.com
This study addresses the growing need for moral and spiritual educational models in contemporary Islamic education, especially amidst the dominance of formalistic and secular approaches. Based on the results of the study, the writing of Tafsir fi Zilal al-Qur'an was motivated by the social and political circumstances experienced by Sayyid Qutub in his time. Sayyid Qutub lived in a period when the Arab and Islamic worlds were undergoing significant changes, including modernization, colonialization, and political movements. Sayyid Qutb critically looked at the condition of Muslims and tried to interpret the Qur'anic messages in the context of modern times. He sought to revive the spirit of pure Islam and fight for social justice based on the teachings of the Qur'an. Fî Zhîlâl al-Qur`ân is Sayyid Qutub's attempt to convey a deep understanding of the Qur'an to Muslims, as well as inviting them to think critically about the social and political realities they face. This study aims to examine Ustaz Firanda's interpretation of the maghza of the Prophet Joseph's story, as well as analyze the structure and discourse strategies he uses. The research method used is qualitative with the maghza approach and Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis. The results showed that Ustaz Firanda highlighted moral values including patience in facing trials, guarding oneself from the temptation of women, not showing off favors, doing ihsan, and using tawriyah to avoid false speech. From the discourse aspect, this story is presented representatively as a reflection of contemporary life, building a communicative relationship with the audience through light language and contextual analogies, and creating an identity as an academic preacher. The aim is to describe the meaning of justice ('adl) according to Al-Attas and examine its relevance in responding to demands for absolute equality between men and women. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach and content analysis of Al-Attas' works related to the concept of justice and human nature. The results show that justice, in Al-Attas' view, is a harmonious condition when everything is in its place and function in accordance with the nature and purpose of creation. In the context of gender, justice does not mean uniformity of roles, but rather fair placement based on the rights, responsibilities, and natures of each. The novelty of this research lies in offering a paradigm of fitrah-based justice as a critique of the Western concept of gender equality. The implication is that this approach can prevent misunderstanding of gender differences while emphasising the importance of the Islamic worldview in building fair and harmonious gender relations.
2025-07-27T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Muhamad Redho Al Faritzi, Muhammad Giri Herlambang
